Go ahead you big baby. I wish the 49ers would do everyone in the league , fans , owners , players a big favor by for once not giving into this guy. He has proved nothing yet.

I meet him a few times while he was training in Mckinney. Guy is a complete asshole who cries when he doesn't get what he wants.

Want to sit out a year and enter the draft ?? Really ?? U honestly think you will be selected higher than 10th after sitting a whole year out.

Rookie holdouts are ridiculous. You haven't played a single down of professional football.

The NFL can fix this by placing a separate rookie salary cap. No more than $500k for a 1 year contract - then they can negotiate after they prove their value.

Sit out already, lose the 10 Million this year and see how many years it takes for you to recoup that amount with a contract you might sign next year. I know it's just the Agent positioning himself and his client but is there anyway this would make sense? Not in any way, shape, or form.

Never happen. No team is willing to risk that their first round pick will light the world on fire and then be a free-agent. A rookie cap I can see, but not a one year limit.

Now, as to the "holdout", this isn't Crabtree or his agent talking. It's his cousin, who I'm sure has more than a few visions of handouts swirling around in his head. Like every loser member of an entourage I'm sure he's thinking "we made it" when in reality it is Michael Crabtree that made it. Don't expect this circus to last any longer than a week. Crabtree will have some damage control done either personally or forced upon him by his real handlers.

--- What an idiot.... he would never make up the missed earning this year by sitting out. Even most who wait until late in training camp usually have a lousy career and start off behind everyone else. Check out Jamarcus Russell asnd Ced Benson and most others.... and they did finally sign but very, very late .

ESPN: ESPN.com quoted Crabtree’s cousin and adviser, David Wells, as saying that Crabtree is prepared to sit and re-enter the NFL draft next year.

Maybe he should listen to professsional advise and not an idiot cousin that wants to cash in.

___

Options:

1. He signs and not for what he is demanding.

2. SF. trades him off for future picks from a contending team that is close to a SB team... and he probably still won't get what he wants but maybe more..

3. He sits... which is stupid.....besides who would want to take a chance and draft him early next year given his history...... and by not playing his skills could deteriorate as well.

WHO CARES...this is a non-issue.....

The SF 49er's care, Crabtree care. Things are relevant outside of your little universe.

Let's be honest, Crabtree is going to cost more than he is worth for awhile. If he sits, he is out of the first round and the 49ers save some money and are under the cap. I don't think that, as a rookie, he deserves the iPhone money that he is asking for.

He is probably over doing it with the extreme hold out but I gotta say that I would be shocked if he didn't atleast become a very very good reciever for many years to come. However I am thinking the guy will be a stud WR.

There's that Tech education for ya. ;)

LOL!

He sounds like a younger version of T.O.; a talented receiver but a headcase and nothing but future trouble for whatever team he's on.
