Man, I was thinking he could be the one true freshman to get some good pt. Oh well , this will give him time to heel and put on weight for next year.

Well we still another incoming freshman DE...who I think will be great: Tyler Washington.

And as to Boutwell....sounds like he'll do the same thing Leppo did. And I think there's an advantage to doing it this way. By greyshirting.....he will be with the team in 2010 (like Leppo this year)......and will still have the 5 years to play 4. In other words...Boutwell could still redshirt in a future year. Whereas, if we went ahead and kept him, redshirting him this year......he would just have 4 years (after a redshirt) in which to play 4.

No big loss as I think he would have red-shirted, Which it basically ends up being.

I'm with SUMG on this one, I think Tyler Washington will get on the field this year. Kid had like 22 sacks his SR year. He will be a hybrid LB/DE to start but I would imagine he ends up at D-end.

I was impressed with the video I saw of Washington at the February signing night. He is a player!
