So, no one has mentioned the three article series the Record-Chronicle is doing on the program, the stadium the fan/donor base, etc. I thought the first two were pretty positive given what we normally see from the Record-Chronicle. I will admit to having just skimmed the second one in today's paper, but will read it closely this evening after work. What do some of the other GMG.com posters who see the paper think? Fair reporting? Somewhat positive? What say you?

GO MEAN GREEN...could "Good Things" be happening with the Record-Chronicle and the Mean Green"????

OK, sorry there is a bit about today's article ... I see it posted below... but, what do you think of the series overall? The comments below make me want to read today's story even closer when I get home.

Any other thoughts?

The R-C, which editorially came out against the stadium should just keep their damn mouths shut.

But, it was so far down the list, Mr Perfect, and I thought it would be getting so much more attention...and it says nothing about it being a series of three stories....When I grow up I want to be perfect just like Mr. Quoner...please Mother, may I???? How about giving a fella a change to say "oops" before you go into your oh, so smug routine???? Geeeeeeeezzzzzz! :flowers::)

Maybe they are trying to "make up" and play nice after getting a few "not so happy" phone calls, emails, etc. from folks who realize what an positive economic engine the stadium and hotel complex will be for Denton. Maybe, just maybe they have decided that what is good for UNT is often very good for Denton. But, of course I could be dreaming. You have a valid point there, drex.

KRAM, we love you and we both hope you'll stop by the tailgate and say hello sometime once the season gets going.

KRAM, when posters agree with something they are far less likely to say so than when they disagree. I thought that the second article, especially, was a positive spin on all three donors. I wish that it could be published in its entirety in both the Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and any other location where we have a decent number of alumni. Hell, I'd even like to mail it to as many alumni as we can afford.
