If any of you knew me you would be laughing your butts off at FFR's comment. I'm a boot wearing hunter, born and raised in Texas, served our country in the USN, attended Tarleton (rodeo school) and Texas A&M (98% republican) before attending the U of Mean Green for my PhD. Definitely not a Lib. I just can't quite get over the fact that McCain was voted for and Palin was picked to represent the republican party. I think McCain is crazy and Palin is a disgrace to the republican party. Really. The selection of those two just floored me. I hope Palin leaves the spotlight and republicans can focus on some real leadership.

*Soap Box Warning* That being said, I try to be open minded about the future of our country and certainly hope for the best with our current leadership. When I become perfect then I will expect perfection from others. Until then, I'll give everyone a little wiggle room including President Obama. I try and look at each bill and each plan (health care or otherwise) with an unbiased eye (I'm not in favor of the current hc plan by the way). I'm not for the death penalty but I would kill anyone that jacked with my family. I think Rush and Pelosi are crazy. I don't think any comedian should be taken seriously. I think its time for some Mean Green football with cheerleaders jumping on the sidelines (not the track).

In all seriousness I applaud the way you look at things. Looks like you spend your time and energy thinking about things instead of blindly lashing out at the minutia of those who wear a different partisan brand than you.

Of course I read the article. I think this part "Arnold Schwarzenegger, former actor, stands in there in California in the worst times his state has ever known. Palin cuts and runs." really sums it up. BTW, she was whining about the David Letterman joke. What does that have to do with Obama? You been hittin' the liquor?

I got the attacking her daughter out the article because it struck a nerve, and it shows that Obama is just about untouchable by mainstream media/Hollywood. It pisses me off! The latest instance of his wife running around in the USAF 757 is just another example of this crap. Wearing boots, attending Tarleton State and hunting doesn't mean your not LIBERAL these days considering there's now a Texas Gay Rodeo Association who's organizations vastly support LIBERAL agendas? And I don't think anyone is asking a politician to be perfect. Support of the beliefs and basic principles of what our founding fathers built this country on would no doubt be enough for most, which Obama without a doubt DOES NOT. No he said 57, and he wasn't counting states that cast votes he was counting states that he visited.
