Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” (quote begins at 17:10)

This is a truly disturbing admission by the President, especially considering that later in the call, Obama promises yet again: “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.” How can Obama keep making this promise if he is not familiar with the health legislation that is being written in Congress?

Technically, Pres Obama is not lying. From what I understand from my vast amount of research (mostly what I've read on here and in an occasional article), you will be able to keep your policy if it is in effect when the socialized medicine bill is signed into law. Therefore, Pres. Obama is telling the truth when he says you can keep your policy.

The only problem with that is: How are insurance companies going to continue to remain profitable when all future markets and clients have been eliminated? Well, they can't. But then, we can all just blame the big, bad insurance companies for that.

It's okay. No one in Congress is very familiar with it either.

But, just to enlighten President Obama, according to one Congressman interviewed it begins on page 16 of the 1,002? page bill but he doesn't know how many more pages essentially do away with private insurance. And, if anyone does actually find out what's in the bill, we can throw in another 1,000 page amendment at the 11th hour.

Let's see, in six months the government controls banking and finance, mortgages, insurance, automobiles, energy, transportation, and is trying hard to include health care. That basically leaves mostly the small businesses and mandated health care will finish them off. Oh, I almost forget about the emasculation of the military.

We've already lost millions of jobs and when the rest of these stimulus packages kick in it will double/triple the national deficit; to say nothing of what it has imposed on the states.

I'm not very familiar with Marxism either but the experts tell me that I will be finding out in a hurry.
