Hasn't it been stated many times on this board that Obama only got 53% of the vote? Hey! I'd say he's on an upswing at 55%!

Really. As much as I despised that last administration, I'm glad I wasn't so hateful, venomous, fearful and paranoid as to wake up every morning scouring the left wing internet in search of far flung statements and grasping at straws statistics so I could shout to the deaf ears of the world that our country was coming to an end. Sad, really.

Well put...I've had the same line of thought lately.

Regardless of how good or bad the Obama administration may end up being, he's been the best thing that's happened for conservatives since Reagan.

I've got an idea!

Maybe try to figure out what happened to make the climate perfect for our first cult of personality/ celebrity president to get elected so easily, fix those problems and win 2010/2012?

OR

Guess what I have in my underpants!?

But if we do that, who will we blame for all of our problems?

Guess what I have in my underpants!?

Michael Jackson's nose?

Polls... bah!

Lest we forget, Bush had the highest and the lowest rating of any modern President.

The first poll that will matter under Obama is the mid term election, and I have a feeling it's going to be 1994 all over again.

Well I would believe this statement really, considering it comes from someone whose been posting on this same board for less than 12 months, and only during 2 months of that previous administration, missing the previous 7 years of the same type hateful, venomous, fearful and paranoid things the rest of us have been reading. And by the way, I didn't write the report. If you believe that USA Today is full of "far flung statements and grasping at straws" and don't like it I suggest you not read it.

Sad, really

No, what's truly sad is that someone from California moves to Texas and believes that somehow message board fans of the North Texas Mean Green gives a rats @ss about anything to do with UC Irvine over and over and over again, then continues to bitch and moan about the expense of school HERE as if to attempt to draw mystery sympathy from everyone else, while at the same time admitting to living in Frisco? You remind me of those same people who move next to an airport then bitch to the news reporter about the noise? That's sad in my opinion.

What do you think McCain's would have been? Do you think McCain would've been able to stop or get us out of this recession by now? Americans are very quick to blame the President for what's going wrong in this country, his fault or not.

Plus, did you see Obama's pitch at the MLB All Star Game? I'd like to see McCain fire one in there.

Yeah! You tell him. Why would UNT want students from other states to move here to enjoy the fine education it offers? What could that possibly say about the quality of our alma mater? Losers. We just want people who grew up in a 40 mile radius to attend. That's the sign of a first class educational institution.

While I agree Rick's venom is misplaced I don't believe that was the point he was trying to get across.

Rather I think he was implying that if you're gonna come from one of those stinkin' liberal states to the glorious Lone Star State you better start acting like you belong here and lovin' you some Republican politics...yee haw!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

You know I kid Rick. No, really, I do.

Hey, two more posters

Who would be friends in real life

Yay for politics!

Agreed. I love you both like a tasty peanut butter sandwich. If you ever met in person, you'd like each other, too.

If we'd never abolished slavery or given women the right to vote, everyone in our fan base would get along just fine.

I didn't post that, you did.

Actually, he kinda threw like a girl. While he did get it near the strike zone in the air, a little leaguer woulda punished that puppy for about 125 feet (a home run for a little leaguer?).

Compare that to Pres. Bush's ceremonial 1st pitch after 911. A Pony leaguer would have had trouble with that puppy.

I'm taking Bush in a baseball draft, but I'd take Obama in a Bball draft any day of the week. Here is outside jumper is money.

Do they have ceremonial first shots in the NBA?
