A Chance To Do A Little Good

I think, with the new season soon upon us and the need to get the word out to as many as possible given our "showing" the last few seasons, that it is time I brought back a quasi-tradition. Not next Saturday (the 25th) but the following one I plan to make the trip to Denton to pick up a large stack of schedule posters and walk them door to door throughout the city. In years past we have put them up all over the square, up and down University Drive, at the businesses surrounding campus and even near TWU...they don't have football so they don't mind.

What I am looking for is others who are willing to show up and brave the heat with me. Ideally, if we could get about 10 people we could fan out in groups of 3-4 and hit a larger area. Hell, if some of you want to venture into Lewisville or Tarrant Co on your way back toward home then we could accomplish even more. So, who's up for it on Aug 1st?

Would this be after the 5K Touchdown run & cookout ?

I've done this in a lone wolf capacity they past couple seasons, but I'm up for it. I'll try to get some SGA folks to pitch in.

As pointed out by NT03, this is the day of the cookout.

All the better. People will already be in town and I already have a kitchen pass for that day!

At this point it looks like I can help. If the athletic dept. gives their OK, we will be selling our Tank Army T-shirts at the Kick-off cook out, so I'll have some work to do before, during and after the Cookout...so probably could not immediately leave and go hand them out...but could that day a bit later and on subsequent days as I live in Denton. So, just count me in...one way or the other, I can pass 'em out!

GO MEAN GREEN!

Oh, yes...BUY A TANK ARMY T-SHIRT...it helps raise scholarship $$$ for UNT students (who could possibly be against that, right?).
