Oklahoma gets 50 mil too? LSU gets approximately 8 mil? Geeezzz. These stories always remind me of a portion of that old 1920's song "Ain't We Got Fun"

"There's nothing surer

The rich get rich and the poor get laid off

In the meantime

In between time

Ain't we got fun."

Don't forget...Oklahoma sate get $450 million...at least T. Boone says he can still honor that commitment. Where's the T. Boone for UNT???? Surely, there are some fairly wealthy UNT grads in this world. Seems I can recall several famous UNT grads in the entertainment business...any word on donations from that group? I know UNT has had a couple of decent sized donations from "business and academic" grads and friends, but what about UNT famous entertainment grads and/or former students????

Come on, UNT has a new stadium to build!

maybe that's because the rich own the company and the poor dropped out of school because they were bored and didn't need school anyway....just wondering.

Whew. Thank goodness Oklahoma is getting some much needed help. Now maybe they can hire a football coach to make them competitive again.

Maybe they can afford to hire Dodge as OC now

Actually, no. Most of it was lost in Picken's BP Capital investment losses. Instead of giving it outright to OSU and into the bank he invested it back into his own short sales and lost the majority of it. OSU does have a nice plowed field now where they demolished a whole block but now have no money to build there.

Still, OSU does have a rich alum that cares about it's athletic future. Where is NT's rich alum? Unfortunately most of NT's education, music, and liberal arts majors didn't turn into rich people. Perhaps someday our engineers, doctors and/or lawyers will give back the big $$....but probably to UNT-Dallas instead.
