Great...I can't watch at work either...glad to know I can tune in on Gamecast...GO USA!!!! This is really good news to be up 1-0 at the half. I would not have bet that would be the case...Spain is the #1 ranked team in the world at the moment. Way to go USA!!!! Who scored????

NICE! After the slop of a game he played against Brazil it's good to see him "back in a bit of form" against Egypt and Spain...GO USA!!!!!!

GREAT 2-0 win by the US over the #1 team in the world. WOW....this is BIG as the US has not been playing well. Next up...Brazil (probably) in the Confederations Cup final. I would NEVER have thought the US squad would make it to the finals...they obviously have received a well deserved wake up call and have heeded the call. We will see if it lasts. If they can follow this win with a good game against Brazil...anything can happen...this game sure proves that. Spain is going to get BLASTED in the Spanish media for this.

USA...USA...USA!!!!! GRWAT JOB...now, BEAT BRAZIL....Ok, long shot, but definitely a possibility after this win...I can't wait to watch the replay at home tonight!!!!!

I wouldn't count on a win over Brazil. Anything is "possible" but Brazil is playing some very high quality soccer right now. On the flip side, though, it took a PK for them to beat Egypt 4-3 in the first game of the tournament, proving once again that there is no such thing as a Brazilian defender.

One of the biggest wins in US soccer history. Spain came at the US with everything in the 2nd half, great job by Howard and the guys. We have a good team, its just a matter of if they can play with the same amount of focus and intensity for more than 1 game. Consistency is key. Altidore is going to be a great player. But we need more great players. You really notice the talent difference against teams like Spain. Fernando Torres, Ramos, Villa, these guys are incredible and we wont be a top team till we bring up a player of this caliber.

You've obviously forgotten about that unusually cold morning in October of 92 when the highly overlooked Bridgeport Tank Trucks squad took down the juggernaut that was East Side Grocery in a 12-10 offensive explosion to bring home the Wise County 2nd-3rd grade championship. If any of you purists would like to refresh your memories I'm almost certain my mother still has it on VHS. As far as I can tell soccer ceased to exist from that day on.

I agree. It is certainly one of the biggest wins and it is in a major tourney. When we are focused we can compete with anyone in the world. We obviously don't match other teams skill-wise. So, we must beat them with heart, intensity, and focus. That we can do. As proven today... when we want it, it shows. I am proud of our boys.

I am not so sure I agree with you about Altidore. I really don't think he has too much to offer outside of his frame. He has a poor first touch, a little slow for a forward, makes bad decisions, and doesn't have a consistent/solid shot. I am sure he could get better as he is a younger player. But, right now I don't find him impressive. Not to rain on our parade but we were lucky his shot still went in given that he shot it right at the keep. I have had problems with Demerit but you can't complain with a man-of-the-match performance like he showed today. Hats off to Demerit and Howard the two game mvp's.

      Ladies at ACU

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.

      Thank you. Might seem crazy now with only two games left in the regular season, but no way you get rid of him at 5-1 or 5-2, and it shows a pissed off fanbase that maybe Morris does care to build a serious contender. However, if Morris's tenure ends in failure, one of the questions I will continue to ponder is "Why did we feel like we had to give an unproven position coach the largest G5 coordinator salary in the first place?"

      Agreed. Our former highest paid football assistant was clearly a terrible coach and recruiter as well. Mosley will be making the next hire. He has to as Morris is putting his AD job in jeopardy now.
