My favorite UNT tradition is using the parking lot behind Riprocks for two-sies whenever that foulest of rumblings fire off in my lower intestine in between blasters at Lou's.

I like the big green and white North Texas flag. Is it around to this day on campus?

I LOVE that flag. It is unique and represents the school perfectly.

I would get a copy if I could.

You can call American Dream Flags and Banner at (817) 221-5490 and ask for Carol.

American Dream Flags will make any size flag for you.

They will also make antenna or car-window flags for you.

So far, they have been making the green and white Texas flags that you often see posted on this board.

I especially like our tradition of changing traditions:

New fight song? Why not!

Our logo is two years old already! I'll have a new one for you in the morning.

How about a new shade of green? But, of course...

I have an idea, let's change our nickname and confuse everyone! I thought you'd never ask!

Don't get me started....... <_<

A tradition I'd really like to see stop is the barriers some people put up to "prevent" them from supporting the Mean Green.

"I'll start sending money when the AD starts doing this and that."

"I'll buy season tickets when we get Kettle Korn."

"I'll join the Mean Green Club when we get Vince Lombardi as head coach."

"As long as such and such works for the Athletic Dept, they won't see one red cent from me."

"I'll donate to the Stadium fund when I see dirt fly. If the design meets my personal specifications."

"There's no need to be in my seat until about mid way through the first quarter."

Traditions we could lose.

GO MEAN GREEN-Just because it's OUR team.

If we changed the fight song, would you have to change your alias?

Sort of related: Which Srappy head do you prefer of recent years?

The older spikey/pointy head:

The current rounded backed head:

I'm a bit partial to the older of the two. (Don't you love offseason topics?) Maybe it's because we used to win with the spikey Scrappy. Much higher intimidation factor.

Updated information on Boomer, the Model A and Mascot is coming soon.

If anyone has any information on the creation and history of Eppy, please send me a PM

Thanks

I'd like to know the history of the Battle Flag (Green Texas Flag). Can they add that to the site?

They will as the NT Battle Flag has been adopted as an official university logo now, so I've heard?

I've always been partial to the spikey Scrappy, too... Why'd they change him???

They wanted a softer Scrappy to go with the defense.

The effeminate leg kick, Mary Tyler Moore catching her hat in there definitely makes spikey scrappy the more "intimidating"
