It is almost half.... We are winning 1-0 and looking much better than the past two games.

But, Dempsey is killing us out there... and Altidore has made mental lapses...we could have easily put 1 or 2 more on.

I can't believed we pulled out a 3-0 win. It was nice to see heart and consistency. Though, Egypt did give us a scare on many opportunities.

What is even better is because of our 3-0 win and Brazil beating Italy 3-0 we win the 2nd place in our group and advance to the next round.

It is unlikely we will pull out another win against #1 in the world Spain. It will have to be the game of a lifetime. And given our inconsistency that likely wont happen. But, then again, it was highly unlikely we would be sticking around for another game.

USA! USA! USA! USA!

That would be "Confederations" Cup not "Confederates" Cup. What a turn of events for the US Team. They had to beat Egypt by 3 or more goals and have Brazil beat Italy by three or more goals and that is exactly what happened. Amazing stuff, and on top of it the squad looked as if they pulled their collective heads out of their "you know whats" and actually played a decent game. Egypt beat Italy, so they are not a terrible team at all. The U.S. reward for advancing to the semi-finals???? They get to play Spain on Wednesday...Spain, I do believe, is the #1 rated team in the world at the moment. Let's hope the US squad doesn't played "scared" like they did against Brazil a few days ago. very fun game to watch, but, yes, US probably should have been down 0-1 early, but the soccer god's were with the red, white and blue yesterday.

Yes, Dempsey had a tough start...I am looking forward to seeing the team when the full squad is together and back from injury.

They must have read your post from the other day being critical of their play against Italy and Brazil! I give KRAM1 the credit for this win.
