Also, the guy they just ran off had a contract for two years at $400,000. That's what they pay strength guys at big places - more than we and many other non-BCSers can pay our own head coaches.

Hmmm...according to this article, Smith was on a one-year contract for $190,000.

Never mind, this story (from the same source :blink: but different writer) mentions the two-year/$400K contract.

Since Smith is already getting paid well for the next two years, I wonder if he'd consider pro bono work for UNT?? :D

I hate it, but you can't blame the guy for wanting to coach at his alma mater.

His job there will only last as long as Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin wins. Tennessee has no patience for losing (unlike some schools we know and love <_<). Phillip Fulmer (152–52) went 5-7 in 2008 and was fired after his first losing season in 17 years at Tennessee. What would we give Dodge if he pulled a 5-7 season this year? Lifetime contract?
