They always resign before about to be fired. Coaches like this that knowingly violate a major recruiting rule should be banned from an NCAA coaching job for a period of time. USC should be on probation because of it too.

USC will get away with nothing more than a hand slap. They have been investigating them since Reggie Bushs family got set up with a fat home in Cali back in 06. 3 yrs later its getting to the point with Floyd stepping down that the NCAA might actually have to step in and slap their favorite child on the wrist.

I could even see heavy sanctions against USC's basketball program. It's not an elite program like the football one is.

One report I read said that Garrett (AD) wanted him out anyway and that they had actually directed some recruits away from Floyd. Interesting stuff...seems his real crime was being the 13th most important coach at USC...that is 13th behind carroll and his 11 assistants.***

***Great line about being 13th. I wish it was original with me...it's not! Just wanted full disclosure here.
