John Q Hammons company is on board. It will be built.

This was May 21:

University of North Texas System and City of Denton recently announced they are entering into negotiations with John Q. Hammons for the development of a first-class, full-service hotel with meeting and convention facilities. Several of John Q. Hammons’ hotels are located near universities.

The site will be an Embassy. Hilton and Hammons will build the property. ...but an announcement doesn't mean there will be ground breaking next week. I expect this project to get underway around the same time as the stadium. There is information on it in some of the lead sheets we work out of. (we're in the Hospitality Technology business).

Perhaps one similar to the one in San Marcus...they seem to like the 8 story, 260-280 room size with about 40,000 sq ft convention space. Looks good. http://www.jqhhotels.com/newdevelopments.aspx

Dude, it's San MarCOS, not Marcus (That's a crappy high school in Flower Mound :) Go Farmers! :) )

Anyway, I hope it is like the one in San Marcos, it's a nice place. I've stayed at that hotel and my company had our Christmas party there last December, The nicest Embassy Suites I've stayed at. Great meeting/event facilities, and great service.
