I don't think there has been an official ruling handed down yet, but from all indications it seems likely that he will line up for us in the opener. I think that he may be a real difference maker for the offense.

What are some of the indications that you base this conclusion on ?

Others in the same situation gaining eligibility, the amount of reps he got with 1st team in Spring, Phil Steele naming him to one of his All-Belt teams

Phil Steele doesn't know Jack doo-doo about the Sunbelt. Harry knows more about the Sunbelt than this so-called "football expert" knows.

From a non AQ conference? If he had transfered TO Oklahoma then I could see your point but I don't think the NCAA will give us an inch. Zach Muzzy anybody? They need us in the body bag so they can keep their dough rolling in.

I seem to recall Evan Fentriss getting a good amount of reps in the spring game a few years ago too...and there was no question he was going to have to sit out in the fall.

I sincerely hope you're right but, like others, I'd be hesitant to declare him eligible without some sort of "official" announcement from the UNT athletic dept or the NCAA.
