Take nothing that criticizes Lord Obama with a grain of salt.

"Well, I'd, I'd, I think it its probably important for anybody that is involved in this debate to be excedingly careful with the way in which they have decided to describe different aspects of this impending confirmation....."

Meaning, "don't cross the line or we will expose and destroy you, whether your a reporter, congressman/woman or private citizen".

It's an opinion article from an online pub with a thing for being sensationalist, which is kind of a journalistic no/no for me to pay attention to. It's like reading WND or Huffington...you just gotta give it the eye of skepticism.

If she's strolling around with openly racist beliefs, she's gotta go. I don't care what her skin color is.

Balanced budget?? We haven't had one since 1969. Clinton's "surplus" was a myth, it was all based on projected tax revenues that never happened. Kind of like Enron's mark to market accounting practices. In fact during Clinton's term the gov't added $1.4 trillion in debt.

Now, Bush's presidency recorded a little over twice that much ($3.1 trillion), but take away the war spending ($862 billion) and the bailouts in the final months of his presidency ($1.8 trillion) and you are left with government spending deficits adding up to approximately $500 billion, or about 1/3 of Clinton debt. I'm not trying to spin away the $3 trillion, but let's not pretend the government was responsible with taxpayer money before Bush. At least have the intellectual honesty of equally condemning the MASSIVE debt being racked up by Obama, which is dwarfing anything Congress put in front of Bush to sign.

*No WMD Myth Debunked for the Gajillionth Time*

WMDs were found, along with components for a nuclear program including uranium and yellow cake. The report was declassified in June 2006.

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2006 – The 500 munitions discovered throughout Iraq since 2003 and discussed in a National Ground Intelligence Center report meet the criteria of weapons of mass destruction, the center's commander said here today. "These are chemical weapons as defined under the Chemical Weapons Convention, and yes ... they do constitute weapons of mass destruction," Army Col. John Chu told the House Armed Services Committee.

The problem with the "No WMDs Were Found" Myth is that the public expected Marines to walk into a warehouse and find massive stockpiles of weapons, barrels of sarin nerve gas, and dozens of sophisticated labs where geeks in labcoats were mixing together really nasty things. When that didn't happen, the spin masters on the other side of the aisle seized the opportunity. Another problem is that the discovery of nuclear material and WMDs were released to the public in piecemeal press releases over the course of several years. Hell, it was the UN who said Iraq had nuclear weapons facilities that just disappeared after the invasion.

Here are some links to well-buried stories about Iraq's WMDs.

* 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium (Department of Energy)

* 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons agents (Washington Post)

* 17 chemical warheads containing cyclosarin (a blog that cached a San Francisco Gate story)

* Over 1,000 radioactive materials in powdered form meant for dispersal over populated areas (Military.com)

* Roadside bombs loaded with mustard and "conventional" sarin gas, assembled in binary chemical projectiles for maximum potency (Fox News)

"The other side did it, so it's OK if my side does it." So 4th grade.

Bush is no longer president. Please join the rest of us in 2009.

So you're saying Bush did it too? So where is the change you voted for? I'm having trouble seeing it.
