When A Player Is Released

Let's suppose we had a player that was on scholarship that asked to be released from said scholarship. Part of the agreement is that the player cannot transfer to a college that is on the schedule for the next 4 years.

What would happen if the college the player transfered to had an opening and invited NT to fill the hole in the schedule ? Would we have to decline ? Would that player not be able to play ?

And what would happen if, with the same senerio, the released player went to a school that was on the schedule or even in the same conference ? And for whatever reason, was able to walk on the new program ?

Expiring minds want to know.

Not all releases require that the player cannot transfer to a school on the immediate schedule. Some require only that it cannot be to another conference school. However, I would think that those that do would restrict the player only to the current future schedule. The schedule can only be changed with the permission of his former team and he would have no control over that. In other words, that provision would be waived.
