Apparently there are more players leaving as by my count, this puts NT at 16 ships. Should booster the front line, but another kind of strange signing. She apparently did not start at the Juco and averaged under 5 points and rebounds a game although at a very good program. She had signed with Cal but mysteriously became available. The fact that at least at one time Cal, a very good program, wanted her is a good sign.

This is, at least, an interesting signing. Agree that as Cal once was a suitor it makes it a bit better, but there has to be a bit "more to the story" here. However, I am pretty excited to see what Coach Stephens is doing to "re-make" the women's team. I would imagine that she wants "her" coaches in and "her" players as well to get things going with the "Stephens" system. Seems appropriate to me. I am hopeful that she knows more than most about the players she is bringing into her program.

GO LADIES!!!! GO MEAN GREEN.

Today's DRC reported that Calvin met NCAA qualifying standards, but did not meet Cal academic standards. The DRC also reports that after being denied entrance to Cal she visited MTSU and was offered by Long Beach St, but signed with NT.

Today's DRC listed ten new players for next season. Five are from high school, three are JUCO's and two are D-1 transfers that sat out this year. By my count we have seven returning players: next year's sophs are Mansa El, Jeanee Thompson and Tamara Torru, and next year's seniors are

Ninye El, Mimi Goodman, Brittney James and Torrian Timms.

Ninye El is a walk-on so that leaves 16 scholarship players-one over the NCAA women's limit.

I thought Brittney James left...or was that a different Brittney?
