Hey, I believed it when I heard it from some very prominent folks...90% of the guns in Mexico used in crimes come from the US! Looks like that is not really the case and the number may actually be more like 17%, but we all know what "they" say about statistics and the politicians who use them. Ha! Check out the article...yes, for some it will not be "good" because I did get it from Fox....but, read the darn thing and you decide what you think.

I sure hope that link works!

I hope it is just 17%. I really, really hope it is. I'd rather the Mexican cartels buy bad Kalashnikov knockoffs from the Chinese or some random metal stamping shack in the Czech Republic somewhere and not us.

I'm not gonna say "we need to stop production of guns". That won't work, and that's a stupid idea. I will tell you that it needs to be harder for the wrong people to get them, and this is a case of the wrong people getting their hands on some of the right equipment.

Plus, this is all symptomatic of a problem that both the US and Mexico are responsible for - with Americans demanding something, the Mexicans joining the supply chain, and the guns being the means by which these goods are protected and certain 'rules' enforced.

the bad guys will get guns no matter what country they are in or they get them from, or how they get them. H&K is German, Kalashnikov is Russian, CZ is Czech, Glock is Austrian, Uzi is Isreali
