Only in America can a guy take the circus in Oakland to new lows, then get hired by one of the most storied football programs in the country. Fulmer has to be grinning from ear-to-ear right now.

How many has he lost to "Diabetes", "want for a law school", or a waning desire to play for him after playing for him in high school...only to have them walk on elsewhere?

Agree. I thought this post had no relevance to this board and should be moved.

Then, I realized it would spur reminders to anyone that felt our current coaching story had not been told enough.

Carry on.

You know, what do these guys know who move from the pros to college? Man, when will colleges learn to hire an experienced college coach! Good grief.

Well, how many kids do we actually sign that have a realistic shot at the NFL as compared to Tennessee? I know what you are trying to do, but it is not an apples to apples comparison.

Many kids sign with NT hoping to get a shot at the NFL and realizing that this is probably their last 4-5 years of football and a means to pay for their education, make lasting memories, etc...

I would be all of the kids that sign with Tennessee expect to be drafted by the NFL and when things don't work out like they want, change in coaching philosophy, drop down the depth chart, etc..., they look elsewhere to fullfil this expectation as opposed to facing reality and pursuing their studies to prepare for life after football(Russo).
