Even Northwest HS seems to have nicer facilities.

geezz, I remember when they used to play in what basically looked like an old rodeo arena, covered in "costal bermuda"......with a few sand traps.

Although the stands themselves were pretty crummy, the turf and field was always in pretty good shape. (Back in the 2A and 3A days.) We (Northwest) had a better field than a lot of teams in the area--including places like Springtown, Aledo, and even Carroll, at one point. Other facilities there were horrible, but that's another story. It's night and day now from when I attended, though.

If only we had this kind of monetary support.

It's not financial support so much as locally-approved bonds for school districts. Allen is soon asking residents to vote to bond a $60 million football stadium (18,000 seats).

These school bonds are happening down in SE Texas too. Spending taxpayer's money is easy for any form of government to do.

Man, what if we built a new stadium. Has anyone talked to school officials about that?

Maybe the state government could add an amendment to it that would make an indoor practice facility the next logical step.

That whole process sucks. We'd end up having to go through the government, and who knows what UT-SMU douches are up there waiting to tweak our bills at the last minute.

We don't need that drama. And certainly not what any Denia/Daily Editors might bring to the table...

Rv tried to do a joint venture with the city 6 or 7 years ago when they got here. They were playing their friday night games at fouts. They refused to work with us and built an 18 million dollar facility north of town on loop 288 for their three high schools to play in.

I know this thread is about 2 high schools practice facilities compared to ours, what does Jerry Jones not have enough money to build a better practice facility than that Bubble that just come down?

Carroll ISD is passing Jerry Jones by!

You can bet Jerry will build another indoor practice facility at Valley Ranch when the legal issues with this one are resolved. But it won't have fabric walls this time. Expect it to be a hurricane-proof structure his multi-$$$ players can practice in safely. BTW, maybe NT could get him to donate the framework and fabric of the old one to us and we can rebuild it?? Just put a weather-alert radio in it!

Uh, no. That framework and fabric will be occupying whatever large storage space is available for evidence in civil suits. The video of that collapsing structure is as close to any of that stuff I ever want to be. Damn scary. We don't want anything to do with any of that; we've had enough bad press without acquiring some of the cowboys baggage. Ok with the weather alert radio; was anyone watching weather reports at Valley ranch, or even the sky? Don't mess with Texas weather.

I really don't understand why that structure was even an option for Jerry Jones. You are correct though, there will many lawsuits from that episode last saturday starting probably with the coach who is now paralized from the waist down.
