A couple years prior he helped another in the rape of a 14 year old.

ESPN

I'm actually less bothered by the signing than how the entire judicial scenario (lack of better term?) played in this kid's favor:

His friend, who I only presume was just 1 or 2 years older, is convicted as an adult and gets 10 years for his crime. With no opportunity to "right his ways" per se and prove his athleticism.

But Hood is just young enough (only 1 - 2 years younger than above) to go to trial as a juvenile, so he gets a little rehab where he proves himself a D-1 talent. Now he gets some free college.

Seems kind of twisted to me.

FYI,

Tennessee received a letter of support for Hood from the victim.

And Lane Kiffen thought it was bad a kid got a phone call from Urban Meyer?

College campuses might be bad places for rapists. I know thats a bold opinion...but I'm entitled to it...and I'm standing behind it.
