According to today's D-RC......(the story isn't online yet) .....but:

Colorado State, Montana, Cal State-Northridge all offered him scholarships (as well as us and St. Francis).

His coach says that elbow problems affected his shooting this year...and that he's a much better shooter than his stats would show. After seeing the difference between Josh this year (with sore hand and without)....I think that's a reasonable explanation.

Anyway, maybe they'll post the story online...and you can read it for yourselves.

Sounds like a very good athlete who should help us out with our perimeter defensive weeknesses of last year. Could be a big battle for perimeter minutes next season between our four roughly 6'5" Juniors, and our two sub-6 footers. I'd like to get a look at Richard's high school statistics. Will be interesting to see what JJ does with our last ship. A high quality young guy who could sit out a year and grow with Holmen and Knox would be nice.

I've got to go with JJ's instincts for talent. We have had some very talented players at NT under Jones.

This looks like a player who could potentially fit in quite nicely with an already talented team for the next two years. However, at this point, am I wrong to assume that the final recruit will have to be either a freshman or a transfer with at least two years left (after sitting out next season)? I realize that I'm looking way ahead, but I would hate to see nearly the entire roster have to be replaced before the 2011-2012 season.

I'm hoping for a potential impact transfer with multiple years left (like Odufuwa) or a high potential freshman we could potentially redshirt next year.

too many guards. too many 6-4 guys

Huh, JJ runs a 3 guard offense (point guard, 2 wings) and he currently only has 6 guards and one of those, Mangrum has a horrible history of injuries. If anything, he has too many front court players; six for only two starting positions.
