We've asked before, but people seem to have forgotten already, and it is starting to become an issue.

The language you use on this board should be appropriate for polite conversation. Please treat every post as though there was a five year old reading it. If you wouldn't say something in front of your friend's children, it doesn't belong here.

This includes use of censors to cover up letters (#, @, *, etc), and "creative" use of characters ($ for s, v for u, etc). If you are using a word that would get bleeped on network TV, and I can tell which word you are using, it is inappropriate.

This is fair warning for everyone. Bans will be enforced immediately.

As always, we are going to miss some, so please help us by using the report button. And remember that most wonderful of kindergarten lessons, someone else using a bad word doesn't give you license to do it.

Thanks,

I whole hardly concur with the topic. My great grandmother said a person who has to use vulgarity is a person with a limited vocabulary. UNT grads should be above that. The worst I have ever seen is on the pious Baylor board.

That's been my experience as well. I had to keep looking at the title page of the Baylor board to make sure I was at a web-site that represented a Baptist school. Besides being rude and arrogant, those people were salty!

SMU!

Mustangs!

UT San Antonio Stadium Construction!

Helmet Stickers!

Black jerseys!

Aren't all of these more offensive than a few simple four-letter words?

The non-sports forum offensive language:

Pelosi!

gun control!

San Fransisco!

Obama!

liberal!

socialism!

taxes!

flu!

So, would it be ok if we use Morse Code since few actually know it? Just a hypothetical.
