This isn't a lack of respect. I simply don't agree with his policies. I respect the office, and he isn't a scumbag like the pervious Democrat to hold the office, so I respect him. ...but I disagree with the vast majority of his policies, and I think his economic and national security policies are dangerous to this country and my daughter's future, and I don't like the fact that he hides his true agenda in double speak and in the shadow of "helping the little guy" who will be hurt most over time by his policies. This is very simple.

Fortunately we have a chance to do something about it in 2010, and that's what makes this country great.

And what happens if the "majority" from 2008 holds serve in 2010?

I mean this with utmost sincerity. I love that I have to add disclaimers to my posts...

Then we have a chance in 2012. and then again in 2014. A month is a LIFETIME in politics. Lots can happen.

...but I don't think it will take very long for this retread of situation and policies from '76-'80 (last time Dems had full control) to lead to an awakening of enough of the American people to change the look of Washington. I'm not predicting a Republican majority, but enough gain to slow down this train. Obama and his Congress knows this is likely, hence the "gotta get our entire agenda in during the first year" mad dash. They don't want to be implementing controversial things during an election year, and they know this may be their only chance to get some of this stuff done.

See, but you're the exception here. While many others that are on the same side of the aisle as you have been ranting off with conspiracy theories, claims of Socialism, and other hare-brained ideas, you actually argue to points, make sense, and really, you're on my favorite members list as a result. You're not over-obsessing over the election, you're not claiming he's the anti-christ. You're saying, "hey, this guy's policies are bad."

You're rather logical and to the point without looking/sounding like a raving zealot. Oh, and you're not making the Non-UNT sports look like the comments section of the World News Daily.

And thus the reason I addressed level-headed questions his way...and keep workin the hard count on all the other anti-American conservatives.

Your right, we should line them up and shoot them all!!! Then, we could evenly distribute all thier money to the underclass!! They probably just iinherited it anyway... Oh wait, that's been tried before... in RUSSIA!

Seriously, why do you point out what someone else has? I just don't get all this class envy/warfare crap that is going on nowadays. Go make yourself a big pile of money. Bet you will see things differently.

--- You really don't under stand me at all... I just stated that voting should not be limited to the super wealthy and that they should not be able to vote their "shares" or wealth as was proposed. . I have no objection to being filty rich, I actually admire Bll Gates and Buffit for what they have done. In Gate's case he figured out where "the World " was going, quit college and got there first (computer software and operating systems). But I do not think they should get any government breaks just because they are filty rich. I have no idea what you earn but I will bet if you earned $1000 more you would pay more than $150 in taxes on it. The extremely wealthy would pay exactly that on their investments. Wake up a bit.. and understand the system that we now have.

---Why do you think anyone that disagrees with a GOP policy is a socialist.? They should get most of the blame for screwing up the ecomony and almost full blame for invading Iraq and claiming they had WMD, which they didn't. As Truman said "the Buck stops here".... apparently you think it did not apply to the years 2001-2008. .

---No one has ever said to redistribute the money (despite what Rush L. claims). Likely you are not the ultra-wealthy...[if so I congratulate you] I just want the middle class to be taxed at the same rate as those with Billions (they pay 15% on their investments). Look and see what percent you would pay on your next $100 earned... bet it is not 15% or $15. You are buying into something that really isn't true... You probably did not get to save a fortune with the tax cuts of the past 8 years. ... some yes... but the tax brackets have always slid up some anyway...as income has increased.

---The final bit I was stating...unless you making million per year... you did not get anywhere close to the cuts they did... in real cash or percent-wise.

------------------------

---In response to one post... Agree, the last four Presidents don't match the first four ... but the first four were not saints either... they let only land-owners vote, no women voters allowed, and three of them owned slaves. As for morality.... read a bit more history about their personal lives. 24 hour TV and "Inside Edition" did not exist then or even 40 years ago to report every sordit detail. They were good men but they too had their imperfections. Times have changed as well.... they did not have to levy taxes to maintain interstate highways, worry about a global war or international terrorism, also schools and hospitals were awful for the most part (now tax supported) . Basically the rich were educated, the rest were poorly educated and many people (especially women and slaves) could not read at all . That sorta of explains a restricted voting population. I do dislike that we now have only holiday to celebrate an American citizen... and it is not any of our founders.... many of which died or lost their wealth, obviously some didn't.

---The last sentence in quotes: Go make yourself a big pile of money. Bet you will see things differently Buffit did.... and he opposed most of the tax cuts of the last eight years.... read a little. I am not going to get very personal but let us just say I have zero debt-- house, cars, cr-cards, anything...LOL... and I hate the 5000 DOW drop of 2008.
