The local newspaper I guess doesn't seem to think we are in the running : <a href="http://cavaliersports.wordpress.com/2009/04/15/mens-basketball-ricks-now-considering-georgia-state/" target="_blank">JCCC

Not really. The day that was written was the day that he visited Georgia State. It was written before his visit to NT.

Maybe we offered late? If so that might put us at a disadvantage. I hope we land him!

This is the name I've been repeating over and over for the past few weeks so I am very excited to see him with an offer and take a visit. My thought is that he and Brister are interchangable in the eyes of the coaching staff assuming Collin Mangrum is healthy (Brister would start, Ricks would be a sixth man IMO).

If Mangrum is not healthy...I expect the staff would be happy with 2 of 3 between Ricks, Brister and Adam Brown

Rivals shows four offers for Ricks...Missouri State who have already signed 2 shooting guards and have a verbal from another...UW-Mil. who has a commit from a point and a verbal from a 2 guard...and Georgia State, who is probably our biggest compitition for Ricks and Brister, who has commits from one 3 and one 4 star center (Rashanti Harris, 4 star with offers from Miss St., Ole Miss and Memphis...my bet is he's a grades risk and thats how he ended up at GSU).

UNT and GSU were Ricks most recent visits...I'd really love to hear something soon.

I would love to get this guy. I went over to the Missouri State board, and laughed when they acted as though they were infinitely better than us. Big talk for a team that finished 10th in their conference.

They basically said we were on the same level as Georgia State. No offense to GSU, but come on.

Missouri State has some problems....not a good move for him to go to Springfield, Mo. for what I am hearing.

Just read their board...not too bad, only one or two posts that seemed to portray a sense of superiority towards us...but their on to 18 pages of Ricks talk, seems like he's been stringing schools along for a while.

Nafis?

Glad his parents didn't name him Navin:

Get away from those cans!

There's cans in there too!

More cans!

Johnson, Navin, R. Sounds like a typical bastard.

Die Navin R. Johnson. Bastard, random son of a bitch, typical run of the mill bastard.

Die you bastard!

Well, that was the old him. He was a little mixed up at that time. He had a bad marriage, and he just gave up smoking. He's o.k. now. He's a private detective. He's been searching for the inventor of the Opti-grab.
