She has a great voice and talent, but the cynic in me agrees that Simon Cowell staged this.

Because no one really gives a flying eff about anything on that show. Well, I don't. It's a waste of airtime.

is or is not the premis of the show to find talent....??? she may not be a "looker" but she can sing. who knows, if anyone of you have the courage to start writing her for a date you may be the first one to kiss her then she may turn out to be a princess.

I've got to agree with you on this one eulesseagle; why can't men (I can understand the young, peer pressured guy whose "friends" would make fun of him for going out with someone they don't perceive as "good looking") see what good there may be in women who are not conventional beauties. Have the fashionistas convinced us all that the anorexic look is what we all want? And talk about courage; it took some for her to perform like that with an audience laughing at her. I guess we should pretend Kate Smith, Big Mama Thornton, Janis Joplin, Mama Cass and so many female vocalists of size were considered beauties in their day.
