Athletic Fee Bill Scheduled For Hearing

HB 4016 is another bill to watch. It allows Texas cities and counties to issue bonds to help pay for improvements at universities within their boundaries. The bill places no restriction on the use of the improvements. In other words, this bill would allow Denton county, if they chose to do so, to issue bonds to help pay for the hotel and stadium... and they should! UNT is the largest employer in Denton county.

You are right they should. Any upgrade to UNT athletics is a potential upgrade to better opponents and more fans to Denton. But I have doubts of seeing any help.
