Hey, we still need teams for this Fantasy Baseball thing. Right now, there are just three of us:

Look, you don't have to go crazy with this thing. I've never played fantasy baseball before, and I'll tell you it was easy to set up. In fact, I probably made it harder on myself because I only put guys in my draft who either played high school or college baseball in Texas or who played at colleges from the immediate surrouding states.

You can have yahoo do an automatic draft for you - then, you don't have to do anything! I did a mock draft like that and it gave me excellent players.

The bottom line is, you're already sitting on your arse and staring at the computer. You can have a baseball team in this fantasy league and be doing basically the same thing. You don't have to be like Bob Sturm and let it consume your life. Just get in their, make up a team name, set the control to automatic...then sit back while I kick your fantasy butt all summer long!

So, seven more of you need to, no pun intended, step up to the plate so we can get this thing going.

Where's KRAM in all of this? I'm sure a fantasy baseball team would be riveting for him. He's probably somewhere boasting about the player stats of his fantasy soccer team. "Look! My player ran around for 90 minutes and did more nothing than your player who ran around for 90 minutes!"

I'll consider making a team, but I haven't much followed MLB since the 1994 strike, so I don't know a lot of players. I'm of the opinion that Bud Selig and Scott Boras are twin sons of Satan himself, so I have really been turned off by the league. My current stats project, dealing with average team salaries before and after the strike, confirms my venomous rage.

I think next year, somebody needs to organize a way to have a fantasy college team.

I thought all MLB baseball was a fantasy! It has to be when you call your chamionship series the "World Series" but only let one nation field teams. What are they afraid of...maybe getting waxed by another nation...sort of like that series they played during spring training...just where did the US team finish? "World Series" my you know what! Fantasy, that's just what it is...dreaming of the day when the US actually could dominate the game it "invented". Let's have a real "World Series" and invite other nation's champions to participate. Why not...It would be interesting, would it not?

Does it cost? Ive kind of wanted to try the whole fantasy thing, but never been able to?

No it is free.

Here are the other details:

Draft: Automatic, so we won't take up a couple of hours. Set your draft list and let yahoo! do the rest.

Time Committ: You can set your lineup daily, about 5 minutes, or weekly, maybe 30 minutes.

It's a fun way to keep up with the great game and doesn't take much effort.

We need 6 more players and then we'll start

Come on. We only need five more players. I can't believe the amo_t of fear on this board. It'll get yo_ thro_gh the s_mmer and finish in time for some _NT football!

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.

      Thank you. Might seem crazy now with only two games left in the regular season, but no way you get rid of him at 5-1 or 5-2, and it shows a pissed off fanbase that maybe Morris does care to build a serious contender. However, if Morris's tenure ends in failure, one of the questions I will continue to ponder is "Why did we feel like we had to give an unproven position coach the largest G5 coordinator salary in the first place?"
