I think the answer is most any major metro area University. Everyone always talks up how lucky NT is to be located in DFW metroplex, but it's a double edged sword. If you look at school athletic programs in the footprint of big cities, they often have issues with attendance. I mean you don't necessarily want to be in the middle of nowhere, but when you're in (or close to) a Philadelphia or a New York, or a Chicago, or a Miami, etc. unless you're winning in a BIG way, or playing a top 5 opponent, it's tough to compete for viewers against NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, etc., etc..
I like how the band wore Maniacs shirts I believe. Just doubled their size with that nifty thinking.
I like the crew behind the UNT bench. Closest thing to a Supporters section. They stand get chants of defense roaring and have fun. How about an alumni Greenbackers Group. Grab the section opposite of the Maniacs on the other side of the court and make it a natural migration for Maniac Alumni to move to. Like the turning of the tassle from one side to the other of the cap.
I’d buy season tickets in this “designated” section yesterday. A standing encouraged rowdy no judgment zone. Oh and can we have beer vendors wander down there a few times during the game too?

It was fun and loud. Let’s keep this train rolling.
Sunday will be a tough crowd to get with the playoffs but next Saturday for the Runners it should be off the chart. Start recruiting your group now and get the Pit rocking maniaco style on 2.1.25.
I love that we have a basketball program to be proud of and it’s no fluke. This year is shaping up to be special.
