I just read that he held two hour practices....................... on game day. I just don't have words to explain what little sense that makes.

The guy had a system that worked in College Station and El Paso. I don't know why it failed in Kentucky.

I was such a BG homer. I am sorry it didn't work out for him.

I think it was partially the types of folks you get to Kentucky. At UTEP and even A&M he got more of lunchpail guys, who might be more open for that sorta Basic Training stuff. His early season training program at A&M was pretty legendary(or notorious) actually. I remember several articles of the hell he put Acie Law and company thru.

I also thought he'd be successful in Kentucky. I think a number of things prevented him from being a good fit there. But i do think he'll go somewhere else and win.

Kentucky had 13 losses this season, the most in school history. How many did JJ have this year, last year, the year before that, all three of his 20 win seasons. Different programs, different standards.
