DENTON, Texas — Senior guard Tiffany Hammond signed with the UNT women’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season, head coach Jason Burton announced on Thursday.
Hammond spent the last two seasons at Coppin State University where she made 54 starts in 64 appearances. She averaged 7.7 points with 2.9 rebounds to go with 65 assists and 43 steals in 32.4 minutes per game in 2025. An elite shooter, Hammond ranked in the top three in the MEAC in made 3-pointers in each of her two seasons with the Eagles. The 5-9 guard hit 69 3-pointers this season after making 52 in 2024.
Prior to her time at Coppin State, Hammond played two seasons at Sacred Heart where she appeared in 27 games. She also spent a year at the junior college level where she helped CCBC Essex capture a NJCAA national title with a 36-1 record.
Hammond will join a Mean Green backcourt that features returning freshman Chania Price, UTSA transfer Aysia Proctor, junior college signee Andi Schissler, and incoming freshman Cherie Spencer.
