Bowling Team Update

Just a quick update I found on the Bowling Team. They are currently out in Vegas at the West Sectional. Top 4 teams will adavance to Rockford, Ill in April out of the 4 Sectionals currently taking place.

Friday Night they had the singles portion of the Sectional and Jonathan Merriman qualified for the National Singles Event after finishing 2nd in the West Sectional. Also Anthony W. Lavery-Spahr took fifth just missing out on advancing, Sean D. Lavery-Spahr placed 20th and Derek Ray finished 28th.

If the team can keep it up they could make a run for a Top 4 spot. Their 86 other male bowlers in the West Sectional.

The team went into Sectionals ranked #22 in the nation.

WOW...a bowling team! Seriously? This is good news...and being ranked #22 nationally is really great news. Good luck to all the UNT bowlers. I hope we see updates here on how the team is doing. KNOCK 'EM DOWN UNT....

The team finished 8th at the Westy Sectional. Judging by the scores they died out at the end. Having bowled Sectionals 3 years, it is a grind of 64 Baker Games in 2 days. Good result for the guys and they will be just as strong next year provided they have good leadership as they return I believe all their Top guys sans one who was their #6 bowler.
