South Alabama Football

So while down at Baylor watching the greatest game known to the history of the universe, college baseball, a couple of the South Alabama players told me that they're getting football. I forget if it's 2009 or 2010, but it's coming soon. Does anyone know if they're jumping straight into 1-A? Do they have a championship caliber coach hired? Are they passing us by?

They will be provisional for now, becoming FBS by 2013. Their coach is Joey Jones and he was head coach at Birmingham-Southern College.

This is without a doubt a great disturbance in the Force. It's pretty clear South Alabama will be passing us by by 2014.

I hate pro baseball, but do enjoy watching the colleges. You picked a good one too, Baylor is pretty good - didn't they win the NCAA title several years ago or was that Rice?
