According to the broadcast last night, JJ is only 9 wins behind Coach Blakely for most victories ever at NT(I might recheck that just to make sure). Obviously Bill Blakely did it in far fewer games(134-85), so I wouldn't call JJ our best coach ever or anything - but that's still a great accomplishment. Unless we win the National Title or something we're not gonna get JJ those wins next year, but it's a mark he should be passing sometime in December next season I'd guess.

I'm all for countdowns with a reasonable length. I'm gonna forget the ".500" and "2000" ones - we're many, many years away from either. We could conceiveably make the Final Four before we get to either one. :lol: (Sure not likely, but look at George Mason)

I may start one for Coach Jones next year, but that was one that was more George and Hank inspired from last evening.

accually its for second all time....blakeley is 2nd now behind pete shands who who has 217 wins in 22 season...blakeley has 134 in 8 seasons and jones has 125 in 8 season...thats 1 2 and 3 right now in NT History!

Crap, way to go Hank and George. :lol:

I looked him up...his record at NT is listed as 223-257.
