Actually, I believe he said, "not a single earmark." Little did we know he meant there would not be any legislation with just one earmark. Obama and his cronies intend to tear everything down so they can remake it all in their own image.

The term "All Hat, No Cattle" comes to mind with this Pres. But, at least he is an eloquent speaker, even if he doesn't have a clue about how a capitalistic economy works. Seems the Hollywood culture of appearance and appeal finally has it's political day.

It seems he favors a socialist economy more than a capitalistic economy.

A long time friend of mine, of 40 years, has a son that had the honor of attending Texas A&M, for one year, before transfering to St. Edwards in Austin. He would drive up to Fort Worth and have discussions on the merits of socialism with his main thesis stating that socialism works but the right people have not driven the philosophy appropriately.

He did, after one year at A&M, get three people to join his Marxist Society but numerous times could not fathom the number of "rednecks" who reamarked negatively about his Che' T-Shirt and beret complete with the red star emboldened on his headwear.

Funny thing is that this was the same philosophy (socialism is sucessful if it is run correctly) of the New Dealers of the early 1930's as was the philosophy of my friend's son. Socailism being an experiement was being administered by Ivy League socialists and a few communists mingled into the fray. Alger Hiss was part of this group and was part of the Agriculture Department.

Today, we have a new group of New Dealer's with their philosophy on how to run this ideology and the paradox is that these people know they have the political power, and votes, to accomplish these ideals that have incessantly failed in the past because, " the right people have not driven the philosophy appropriately."
