I knew it wouldn't be easy with them having Graham and Monroe this time. I'm proud of the way our team hung on and made key free throws down the stretch. Also glad to see we won without McCoy hitting every shot he threw up. Shows many differently people on our team have the ability to stepup.

Exactly right...there are a few things to clean up, but this is not a case of UNT giving away a lead...its a case of two really good players carrying a team.

Good win...time to focus on the MUTS

good job mean green from topper land.

don't know who to pull for against the muts. jj skeers me way more than kermit the frog. he's already proven that he can win the sunbelt tourney. kermit = fail.

monroe was pretty ineffective against us until the last 2 or 3 minutes when we weren't trying to foul. he's turned into a freakin' tub of lard. played like a punk up here. he musta been eatin' grandmas buttermilk biscuits and flapjacks the whole time he was injured.

that said, there was a reason he was a preseason all conference baller. he was tough against us in the past.

we got fiu in the first game so i'm not overlooking them. they have some major league talent in asprilla and company.

good luck to you guys at hot springs. unless we're playing each other.

Just got in from the Pit. Few observations.

Monroe looked terribly out of shape. I don't think he had a single point in the 2nd half.

DJ struggled terribly.

Adam was getting ready to start absolutely lighting it up seconds before halftime hit, didn't have it coming off the bench in the 2nd.

Graham put on an absolute show down the stretch.

If anyone has it on film, Big George's dunk needs to be sent to ESPN. I don't remember if it was on Monroe or #34 but Geroge absolutely Vince Carter in the Olympics'd the guy. Nuts to Face.

Didn't seem like it was a pretty game, but I'll take the win.

My first game of the season to attend and they played very well for 85% of the game. Too bad the 15% they played poorly was at the end. Good crowd. Nice, very nice dunk in the first half. Very nice.

Yea that really got Adam going for a bit. He had a breakaway steal immediately after and could have thrown it down again.

Best game I've been too since OSU. Great environment , good turnout. Old man breaking it down on the floor , the chicken was caught and even the musical chairs event was decided by an eyelash and of course as always the dancers were HOT.

2 of the better dunks I've seen this year , Big George's poster finish and McCoy's punch in from the baseline ( although it might of taken all the air out of him on the very next play as he laid in on off the glass on a break away) We survived Graham not wanting to call it a end to his career. The kid is a baller , but I'm glad to see him done. I hate to be negative in anyway , but when you are 6'5 and are being guarded by someone whom is 6 inches shorter for almost the whole 2nd half it's not that surprsing that someone of his talent could get as hot as he did when having a clear view of the rim with every shot.

Anyways , who is heading to HOT SPRINGS ????

What exactly was that when yall were at half court?? It was like one of you wanted to jump up and do the chest bump thing ( guessing that was you) , but the kid who caught it kinda faked jumped as he was worried he might not be able to get much air or was afraid he would of knocked you down. It looked like you kneed him right in the nuts , me and friend couldn't stop laughing at that.

No Fuzzy Tacos ?? What a sham.

Solid effect by NT, White and Tremiel carried the team. I didn't like the defensive effort for a lot of the game, but the team came through when it counted. FAU played strong all the way, if Monroe had been in better shape; it might have went a different way.

That was the biggest white guy chest bump ever!!! There couldn't have been more than a 1/2 inch clearance between the bottom of y'all's tennis shoes and the floor. I, too, almost fell out of my seat laughing. Great entertainment. Whoever was trying to catch that Chicken needs a depth perception examination, although he did make a nice snag on the last one.

Thoughts from the game.

1) Again, disappointing point guard play. Maybe I'm not in attendance for all of his good games, but Dom has not looked anything like a D1 point guard when I've been in attendance. But, he did hit the 2 free throws to ice the game (although there was a knot in my gut when I saw it was him and not Josh on the line for those free throws).

2) George's dunk was one of the most athletic plays I've seen in the last several years. More plays like that and the students wouldn't have to worry about the Alums standing!! If there is video of that anywhere, someone should post it on here. Was really disappointed it wasn't on chl 8 news when I got home (freakin Dale Hanson!!!).

3) Josh White was money tonight. Glad to see him back to his Freshman form.

4) The guards size was really exposed tonight. Let's hope this is not a trend.

5) The dancers were smokin

6) Great win. Call me crazy, but I was hoping for a larger crowd tonight.
