This is a sad loss. Alzheimer's is terrible to deal with both as a patient and a caregiver. For someone who had the incredible command of detail that Fred did it must have been especially difficult. As a close friend pointed out when her grandmother passed from Alzheimer's, "I'm glad she's not confused anymore." Now Fred can tell stories to a whole new audience. He will be greatly missed.

I hate to hear it; from what I've experienced, death is almost a blessing in the case of alzheimer's. For what it's worth, here's a link that I thought was cool; I saw it this morning, but now can't link throught to it; some of you may be able to; it uses the "mean green" term to talk about a hybrid high performance concept car.

"Mean Green" used to refer to hybrid vehicle.

During my days at NT, I remember talking to Fred Graham several times.

Graham was a good guy, and always talking about NT athletics. He loved

NT just like all of us. I would like to see Fred Graham honored with a

induction into the NT sports hall of fame.

From the article:

"Graham was inducted into the UNT Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. He later worked for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame."

Maybe we can work on getting him into the Texas Sports HoF, since he is already in the NT HoF?
