PSM = Positive Stats per Minute

the formula -- points + rebounds + assist + blocks + steals - turnovers.....the total divided by minutes played = PSM

1. McCoy .84

2. Tramiel .79

3. Odufuwa .69

5. Johnson .67

6. Dennis .65

7. Hogans .55

8. Howerton .53

9. White .50

10. Stewart .46

Again, this is only a statistical exercise, doesn't account for intangibles (leadership, for instance?), or shooting percentages, or other aspects of the game which we as fans may not be privy to....

last week's standings:

1. McCoy .81

2. Tramiel .79

3. Thompson .70

4. Odufawa .70

5. Johnson .68

6. Dennis .65

7. Hogans .57

8. Howerton .53

9. White .51

10. Stewart .45

Nice stat. I like those top five getting the start and the majority of minutes with Dennis coming off the bench. With the exception of White's minutes, JJ seems to be moving in that direction. Can't say enough about White's great freshman year as well as his fantastic performance a couple of games ago, but I still think his minutes need to be cut a bit until he consistently proves otherwise. Playing White and Johnson together so much on the perimeter has clearly made it difficult for us defensively as well as offensively against many opponents. That was very evident again to me in the Little Rock game. On the other hand, with only three guaranteed games left I guess there's not much time left for anyone to prove much of anything. Let's hope that JJ can figure out the best mix.

Forget last saturday's game...it was bad...OK, but I do think the team is playing much better of late than it did in the early stages of the season. Intensity seems to be "up", and I hope it stays that way this week going into the final two regular season games. I do not want to see us "back into" the play-in game on any type of losing streak. I bought my play-in tickets today, and I am looking for "GOOD THINGS" heading up to and incluuding that game.
