An impromptu ambush question, what was he supposed to say?

Good lord you must be kidding Bat.

Not at all. Problems come out of nowhere and A TRUE leader needs to be ready for the problem. How is it an ambush to ask someone about a problem that has been in the news for the last six months? Did he not have time to have his handlers prepare something for him to say? Is this what we could have expected for the next four years?

That was a setup question without details and it was not the proper forum for such a question, please be fair. It was an ambush plain and simple and Obama would have done the same thing. Except the guy would have never gotten that close to Obama. Come on what a joke.

And TMZ is your source for this story. That should tell you all you need to know. "Journalists" staking out celebs trying to ambush them into a sound bite.

How about that scripted news conference Obama staged Monday night? Why not allow TMZ in there to ask a few questions?

The video clip came from SplashNewsOnline.com, not TMZ, but that is beside the point. This is what a man who wanted to be president had to say about one of the most important issues facing the country today. I do not know if the PRESIDENT's new policies will help. But the majority of the country did not want McCain attempting to solve the countries problems.

The lead story on SplashNewsOnline right now - some girl from a show I don't watch has an orange tan.

In related news, TYSports might come back from the dead to interview Tom Leppert about the downtown convention center by waiting outside his house to ask a question at 6 am.

guess shows your prowess if you consider McCain a Republican. I assume you also consider Snowe, Collins, and Spector Repubs also.

Good try though.

He was the party's choice for it's candidate for president. But you are correct. Most Republicans are far more right wing (ie closed minded) than McCain, and that is one of the major problems in this country.

On my political fantasy team I traded Strom Thurmond and George Wallace for John McCain and Arlen Spector.

In case you guys haven't noticed, the election's over. Unfortunately, no "do-overs" allowed!

Was wondering how long it would take you to chime in? You're correct no "do-overs". Lets give the new PRESIDENT a chance to correct the problems of the country.

He needs four years - he didn't have time to put a staff together for this problem!

McCain should have told him that he should help his own family and quit expecting the government to do it for him. Embarassing that some camera-weilding jackass from the What's In It For Me Generation would ambush a man like McCain.

Although, what more do you expect from TMZ. They've made a name for themselves by ambushing people with stupid questions.

His first recruiting class is falling apart. Richardson, Daschle, Gregg and Nancy Killefer have all left the program.

He inherited them though. Let him really get his team together without having to finish an election and an inauguration before you pass judgement.

Exactly. I give him a total pass for recruiting in his first term, because he had only a few weeks to evaluate and put them all together.

Show me a far-left Democrat whose first instinct is NOT to spend other people's hard-earned money. Show me a far-left Democrat whose first instinct is NOT to play the game of class warfare. Show me a far-left Democrat whose first instinct is NOT to look at Republicans as toothless, racist, bible-thumping white males.

I would say that most people who care about politics have firm political beliefs, both on the right and left. Let's not pretend that Democrats are open-minded people, willing to consider new ideas or tolerate any challenges to their principles.

I was talking to a Republican at a party before Christmas who said if he was Obama, he'd demand a recount.

The problem with the Republican campaign can be brought down to one, simple fact: they did not have enough posters up around town. You will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER get people on board to a campaign if you can't even invest in signage. FIX THE PROBLEM

The Obamicon site is clearly the next step in poster technology. Why did McCain sit on his thumbs while this site was built from scratch? You didn't even hear of an Obamicon three months ago and NOW IT HAS PASSED HIM BY!

McCain is just now sending emails that he wants to seek reelection in 2010. He needs to Twitter that crap and start adding hot chicks and beer pronto or he will just be a speed bump in UTSA, er Michael Steele's rearview mirror.

Another problem... When is the next scheduled McCain supporter meeting? Obama has press conferences daily. DAILY!

A label like that, and you want others to believe you're open-minded?
