I don't get it.

How can a facility that holds 6,500 as opposed to the 40,000 the new stadium is going to seat, with only 10 players on the court at a time, as opposed to the 22 that are on the new field at one time, serving a campus population of 27,500 (?) as spposed to the 33,000 at NT cost $73,000,000 and the new stadium, an apparent bargain, cost $60,000,000 ?

They are pimping the great work of Kevin Fralicks to make this possible on the Hardline right now. Where do I know that name from?

Good times.

We need to go ahead and insert a little Mercedes into the next artist's rendition of our stadium just so they know they're not better than us.

I don't know if it will open before our stadium or not. I don't know if it matters. We are building a football stadium, not a basketball arena. UTA doesn't even play football. I think the bigger question this thread needs ask is, "What will UNT do to improve our basketball facilities?".

I think the Super Pit is still a good arena, but it could use a renovation. when out stadium is finished, we need to look at getting a new media board to hang in the Pit, and better lighting for the place. When I see games on TV, it looks like the place has about five candles lighting the joint.

UTA already beats us regularly on the court. We can't let them gain more of a recruiting advantage by having nicer facilities then us too.

Yes, NT really needs to renovate that slum of a basketball arena.

We put in new lighting a couple years ago (along with a new floor), which is a lot better than what were using before. One thing that I think that makes the place look so dark is the green chairs we have. Granted, the lighting over the crowd isn't that great, but that's not where the action is. The lighting on the floor is actually pretty good. Our photog, Rick Yeatts, doesn't need overhead flashbulbs anymore with the newer lighting system that's currently installed.

I'd love to see us get a better sound system and a scoreboard with screens that hovers over the floor. Add in some sky boxes and we've got a up-to-date basketball arena.
