Projected Starters

OK, until the end I thought this was a great bit of discussion, and I pretty much still do. Lots of great points made, and it does look like we will see quite a bit of healthy competition going into the spring and then into the fall. I, too, believe this team could surprise some folks, even those on this board who expect "gloom and doom", but, as if often the case...someone has to start the "Dodge" stuff again. let's keep this one on track and talk about "possible starters" for next season.

This is a great time of year for college football. Everyone is excited about the possibilites for a new start. let's keep it that way. GO MEAN GREEN.

This was a great thread when people were chiming in happy thoughts with no logic or reasoning behind them for a few posts!

9703 made a good point and tempered his enthusiasm with I hope and project and let their be some air of uncertainty to it because that is all we have right now. To quote LongJim and a few others, it will all come down to the lines again. As a friend put it, "we have size now, not real school size, but Sun Belt size." Hopefully it's the start of something bigger (hey, see what I did there?)

Bigger they will get! Agreed, UNT may not have Big XII size as yet, but I do thgink UNT will match up fine...size wise...in the SunBelt. And, that will be a good thing!

Since Brett Vito announced in the DMN that Forest Rucker has been suspended and is not attending school this semester, who of the following receivers (Barrett, Brigham, Carey, Dickerson, Jamel Jackson, Breece Johnson, Lott, Mayberry, Roberson and Taylor) do we think will make an impact this fall?

Since Brett Vito announced in the DMN that Forest Rucker has been suspended and is not attending school this semester, who of the following receivers (Barrett, Brigham, Carey, Dickerson, Jamel Jackson, Breece Johnson, Lott, Mayberry, Roberson and Taylor) do we think will make an impact this fall?

I wouldn't rule out Rucker, but I would say it would be between Brigham, Barrett and Roberson, in no particular order, with Taylor close behind.

Wow! We are debating who starts where, only many of us are now thinking

and saying "what about this guy" or "don't forget that guy" at each position!

You mean to tell me there are multiple quality players at each position?

Hell yes! The offensive staff and the defensive staff will have a tough time

to determine who is the number 1 guy, the # 2 guy, and the # 3 guy will be at

each position! Not one player is the #1 guy right now. The competition is starting,

and will be very firece during spring ball and the fall 2 a day training season.

Let the trench wars begin!
