Running Backs?

Anyone concerned that we didn t pick up any runnign backs? With Cam being a senior, do we have the next good back on the roster?

No concerns here - I think we are pretty deep at RB:

Cam Montgomery - senior

Lance Dunbar - sophomore

Jeremi Mathis - sophomore

Micah Mosley - junior

James Hamilton - sophomore (converted DB - assuming he stays with the offense this year)

The RB position is solid. I would not be suprised to see

Darius Carey get a shot at RB. High schools usually

have their best athlete playing QB, and Carey is a

great athlete with break away speed. Carey will be

on the field somehow someway in 2009.

No, you are correct. He will enter his freshman year of eligibility in '09.

No worries at RB--at all. It's everywhere else that there is at least some cause for concern.

RB is not a position that I worry about either. If nothing else, and depending how the QB competition turns out, you could put Chase Baine (6'X 201) in at RB. He ran a lot as a QB in HS, and anyone who is fast enough to play slot receiver is certainly fast enough to play RB.
