This is a great story and even more surprising that this young man came out of Florida State. Sorry FSU fans, but it is shocking.

Talk about a role model, and the sad thing is, the media will continue to build up the likes of Allen Iverson, Terrell Owens, Anquan Bolden, etc... while not really covering this story. I would love to see a publication like Sports Illustrated or ESPN the Magazine put Rolle on the cover, but that will never happen.

Do schools really offer an undergrad in "pre-med?" I have heard this term a million times, but never met anyone in medical school or practicing doctor who has one.

Much like "Pre-Law", it's not a major, but they give you direction, suggested courses, etc. It's more of a focus than anything, but I don't know anywhere that has an actual major called "Pre-Med" or "Pre-Law".

I too would like more coverage of this. Most of what there was occurred when he had to show up late to a game because he had to take out time for the Rhodes interview, though ESPN did have about a 10-minute spot about Rolle a few days prior to the game/interview. What a great role model. I hope he stays in the public eye despite the media's need for bad news and multimillion dollar contract negotiations.
