Matt Vizza said his son first expressed discontent midway through the 2008 season, saying the team had become “numb” to losing. The subject of leaving was officially broached during Christmas break, over which Vizza weighed his options before finally deciding to transfer.

“He just doesn't think (the North Texas program is) moving in a positive direction, and it's best to find a program that better fits his goals,” Matt Vizza said. “Getting beat up like that, losing every week, it takes a toll on people. It's been a hard deal.”

The same could be said that fans are becoming "numb" to losing also. It's taken a toll on our athletic reputation and fan's support for such a program. But like someone mentioned, fans can't transfer or quit, we are forever linked to our school..... win or lose. <_<

Actually, NT80 fans CAN quit......and several have. It is hard to walk away from a program that you love and have supported for a long time but lots of folks have done it and I think over the next year or two several more will.

I find it interesting Dad is quoted more than Gio. I wish him well and hope he finds happiness and success elsewhere.
