Second Place Bowl: Florida Or Oklahoma?

Florida wins, they will be rightful BCS Champions. Utah is #2.

I can't make the argument that Utah deserves the title, but I will argue until my dying breath that they deserved a shot.

And if OU wins, they're not rightful?

Both with one other loss: so you think the Ol' Miss loss is justifiable and the Texas isn't?

Whoa, hold up there buddy. I was just predicting a Florida win and that when they win they will be the rightful champions. If OU wins, they will be rightful champions.

Utah is NOT the national champion, nor do they have any sort of claim to the title, not because they aren't good but because the voters (not the BCS) kept them out. It's the system, man... and it sucks but that's the way it is. We have not yet seen a non-AQ team ranked in the top two BCS spots. That's not the fault of the BCS, it's the fault of the voters and the coaches who cling by their fingernails to the idea that in order to be considered for the NC you must be a member of the Elite 6.

Any fan claiming that Utah is the "real" national champion is just as delusional as the SMU athletic department when they paraded out Eric Dickerson and their "National Champion" team last season.

Whoever wins this bowl has a legitimate claim to being the second place team in the country, but Texas and USC also have a claim to that honor.

Unfortunately none of those have a legitimate claim at the National Title, well, because there's no substitute for perfection. At 13-0 and scheduling the toughest teams that would play them, Utah was perfect.

We scheduled the toughest teams that would play us and nearly ran the table. WKU screwed all that up!
