Thank goodness he's an experienced dodger.

Who throws a shoe?

Where was the Secret Service. This guy should have been on the ground after the first shoe whizzed by W's head.

I wonder why this reporter never had the guts to throw shoes at Saddam Hussein for "murdering Iraqis"...

Because he would have been tortured and killed, along with perhaps his family as well. It is quite ironic that this clown was only able to pull and get away with a stunt like this because of the man that was the target of his hate.

My only regret about this incident is that my two favorite Chickenhawks*, Carl Rove and Dick Cheny, were not there to get their farewell kiss.

Wow... No matter the politics of it, I'm shocked that you'd support someone possibly sustaining injury because you don't like the political decisions he has made.

Showin' some real class there.

Also, let's not forget - let's NOT forget, Dude - that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city - that ain't legal either.

The Iraqui's. It is a show of disrespect. They did the same to Saddam's stature when the U.S. troops pulled it down.

Who quotes a movie?

Getting hit with a shoe is insignificant compared to the death and destruction brought on by the foreign policies dreamed up by those aforementioned chickenhawks and their front man/hand puppet......the W.

Absolutely correct. Let's not ever forget that before Bush screwed it up, Iraq was a Ba'athist paradise of peace, freedom, prosperity, and human rights.

Even though President Bush is hated by many for his policies, domestic or foreign, people here are O.K. with someone throwing an object at the President of the United States of America? An attempt hurt your President? Suppose the guy actually hit Bush with the heel of the shoe, maybe broke his nose, cut his face severely. Everyone here is O.K. with that?

Although I don't care for the President In Waiting Obama, had this happened to him I would be outraged! To think some little two-bit sh!t of a journalist would try to harm the President of the United States, my President, whether I like him or not, is simply hard to fathom.

Its.A.Shoe. Its funny. Had the shoe actually connected...or had this guy thrown knives, hand grenades, chinese throwing stars or anything else Mike thinks are good...then perhaps (and knowing some, perhaps is the appropriate word) there might be a little more outrage. But even W said "so what if he threw a shoe at me?"

And if it makes you feel better...if a stray missile didn't already kill this shoe-throwing reporters wife and children yet...I'm sure after this incident the S.S. is on it...that'll teach him.

Well, compared to the hell of all the blood letting between the religious factions that has been unleashed on the general population (which the President was advised would happen), and our inability to keep it in check, I'd say that by comparison, it was a paradise of peace and prosperity.

AND, as it's been pointed out numerous times, there were (and still are) much worse dictators in the world than Sadaam. Their countries just don't have large reserves of oil to motivate us to "bring democracy and freedom" to their general population.

Meanwhile, we are more hated in that region than ever before.

Look on the wall when the shoe flys by. It's the Auburn kicker after missing a kick!

It is embarrasing that he wasnt shot dead before the first shoe reached Bush. Not that a shoe = a bullet, but throwing somthing with intent to hurt the president of the United States deserves a bullet.
