"If I improve, my coaches improve and my players are all dedicated to improving, that is all we can do. We have opportunities coming up with recruiting, spring practice and our off-season conditioning program. Everything has to improve.

"When you are 1-11, there is nothing that is immune to change."

I hope this means what I hope it means.

The Mean Green will have to overcome a few key losses heading into next season. They include wide receivers Casey Fitzgerald (111 catches for 1,110 yards) and Brock Stickler (46, 490).

Any one know what this is all about? I know Casey was graduating, but didn't hear anything as to why we're losing Stickler. Or maybe I must have missed something.

Edit:

Ok, I did miss something... Stickler is graduating too it looks like. I found the same article on the DRC site, but it had some modified wording in this regard, and also more info after the article.

If I had any money to wager, I'd put some down for an improved defense next year.

That's about the only thing I feel I can look forward to.

well unless they lengthen the games, I can't see how we could be much worse. So yes, I'll agree with you on this one.

Stickler was a senior this year and is out of eligibility.
