Western Kentucky seems to be ok despite losing Courtney Lee.. They knocked off #3 Louisville today 68-54

Just the week before this win, they had a super ugly 30 point loss to Murray State. I actually watched it on TV. I thought they were done for the season. Apparently not. I hope we can bounce back in a similar fashion.

There was a link on Hilltopperhaven to a TV broadcast, so I was able to watch the majority of the 2nd half. They looked really solid against Louisville. At times they went with a 4 guard lineup, and were still holding their own on the glass. That Mendez-Valdez guy is still around draining shots. God, I hate him - what a Mean Green killer.

Huge win! Why can't we play a big named team that goes completely cold from the field like Louisville did? I guess you make your breaks but UL was horrible from the 3 pt line - 6 for 30!

WKU was also playing some tenacious defense. Louisville did miss quite a few open jumpers, but many were contested. Like I said earlier, the most impressive thing to me was the way WKU was holding their own on the boards when they were going with four guards.

BTW - WKU was one of the "others recieving votes" in the new coaches poll yesterday.

Kinda four guards...Pettigrew and Kerusch both played a lot...and they're both more like Tramiel, athletic and hard-nosed, but undersized 4s. Still, going up against Williams, Clark and that man-child Samuel it is quiet impressive the Topper's rebounding effort
