We beat them in the New Orleans bowl in 2002, now they're on their way to a BCS Bowl, we've just won 1 game in a season for the 5th time in program history.

I wonder on January 1, 2003 if either team thought they would go from there to here.............

Cincy doesn't have apathetic alumni like NT's. They were never really known for football but is always huge on basketball which most of their alumni has historically backed. Not to mention they are in a good area geographically in recruiting. And I suppose being in a BCS conference and a not very strong Big East Conference this year doesn't hurt.

Remember that eventual National Champions Ohio State needed a field goal as time expired to beat the Bearcats that very season. Their QB had huge numbers, but I'll always remember Jeremy Pearl's pick 6! Man, how times have changed.

On top of that, Cincinnati has played their 4th string QB for the majority of the season. Very impressive job by the Bearcats.
